TRAINING:
At Applebee's we strive to provide our guests with "A Great Guest Background Every Time." Consistently doing the right thing is the key to our success. It is vital that our management staff is taught the Applebee's way and updated when changes occur.
Our newest members of management, Managers in Training (MITs), are provided with a training program that is performance based. The average time of completion is 10-12 weeks. During the program, the MIT will be taught the basics of food preparation, guest service, financial management and other skills. Special restaurants are certified to train our MITs to ensure the instruction is consistent.
After the initial training program, management members rotate in the jobs they perform, and are often assigned to various restaurants. This will help the crewmember build on the training provided, and prepare for future advancements.
