The Resource Specialist in our nonpublic school setting serves as a behavioral support for the entire school. Working closely with the classroom and related services teams, the Resource Specialist helps implement individual Behavior Intervention Plans. School wide behavior programming through PBIS and the crisis management system includes the Resource Specialist as a key expert and implementer. The Resource Specialist provides mentorship, training, and guidance to the team of Resource Assistants. As A Resource Specialist, You Will: Provides a consistent and reliable supportive presence in the school, being an active member of the Treatment Team, observing, evaluating and communicating all appropriate information, orally and in writing. Supervises students in activities to include teaching social manners in interpersonal relationships and supervising the child's personal care. Maintains a safe learning environment for students within the scope of the Arrow Center for Education administrative policies and procedures. Assists in the safe and timely transition to and from transportation providers. Shares/transmits the mission and vision of Arrow Child & Family Ministries to staff and to students and families served. A Resource Specialist Requires: High School diploma or GED and at least one (1) year experience working with children and families required, preferably in a school setting.
