To quote a popular saying at TNC, "you'll join for the mission, and you'll stay for the people."WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHERThe Resilience Program Manager supports The Nature Conservancy's resilience and adaptation strategies which are focused on nature-based solutions and community involvement within the South Carolina chapter and the Southeast region. The Resilience Program Manager has expertise in nature-based solutions and manages on-the-ground resilience projects, from conceptualization through implementation and monitoring, including navigating project permitting with state and federal agencies. The Resilience Program Manager will procure and manage grants and contracts, including multi-million-dollar awards. The Resilience Program Manager engages local communities in nature-based resilience and adaptation initiatives, to ensure the work of the Conservancy is in support of these communities. The Resilience Program Manager may also contribute to developing and implementing strategies across the Southeast, and track progress through metrics, measures, and evaluation.The Resilience Program Manager will travel within South Carolina regularly, including overnight stays, and may work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain and under physically demanding circumstances.WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOUIf you're looking for a career where you can find meaning and purpose, come join our Chapter as the Resilience Program Manager! This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated, capable individual interested in joining the world's leading conservation organization!WHAT YOU'LL BRING BA/BS and 5 years' experience in natural resource management, engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience managing complex or multiple projects, including staffing, workloads and finances under deadlines. Supervisory experience, including motivating, leading, setting objectives and managing performance. Experience with grant and contract procurement and management, including multi-million dollar awards. Experience in partnership development with community groups, non-profit partners and/or government agencies. Experience communicating with the public and/or media both in writing and verbally. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
