Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Report to: Medical Services Manger Pay Status: Hourly FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Purpose of Position: Fairweather, along with the State of Alaska Department of Health & Social Services operates a vaccine clinic, for delivering COVID-19, flu, mpox, and other vaccines in an outpatient setting. Fairweather is actively seeking registered nurses to staff the Vaccine Clinic. The position's purpose is to administer vaccines and provide competent medical care to patients in a clinic setting. Responsibilities / Essential Duties : Perform screening questions with patients as necessary per CDC guidelines Appropriately administer vaccines Appropriately document vaccination and observation period Follow protocol for any adverse reactions Disposal of syringes and sharps as per clinic waste policy Minimum Qualifications : Registered Nurse (RN) Current BLS certification Ability to identify adverse patient reactions 3-5 years clinical experience Preferred Qualifications : ACLS Certification Knowledge: Ethical understanding of patient processes, confidentiality, and personal health information (PHI) data management Knowledge of infection control processes Knowledge of specimen collection principles and practices Skills: Skill in customer service Skill in attention to detail Skill in understanding patient education needs by effectively sharing information with patients and families Abilities: Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to project a pleasant and professional image Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others Job Posted by ApplicantPro
