Req ID: 24608 Vacancy Type: Temporary Contract Duration: up to one year contract Number of Positions: 1 Closing Date: 01/16/2024 Job Summary Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment for City wide vacancies, from sourcing candidates to job offer up to and including coordination of pre-hire activities required for first day. As part of a team, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner closely with hiring managers to fill a variety of union and non-union positions across the organization including all fulltime, temporary, seasonal and campaign positions to select the best talent to meet client and business needs. Duties and Responsibilities • Responsible for full cycle recruitment for all union and non union vacancies including full-time, temporary, seasonal and campaigns such as Transit Operators and Firefighters. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to create and implement innovative recruitment strategies and initiatives, that align with corporate direction and meet both current and future business needs • Work closely with the Hiring Mangers to ensure integration of Equity Diversity and Inclusion principles in all stages of recruitment. • Build talent pools for critical roles and drive social media content to attract candidates using innovative sourcing solutions to attract top talent with a variety of platforms: social media, job boards, networking, websites, Success Factors, Linked In, career website, and other technologies. • With the Hiring managers Build marketing plans for campaigns, seasonal and high volume positions and other positions that require targeting marketing. • Partner with external agencies to source Senior Level vacancies and hard to fill roles. • Coach /train and support hiring managers through the recruitment process as per the City’s Recruitment policy and guidelines and current talent acquisition.
