Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Diss Salary: Competitive Job Type: Permanent About the role: Novum Structures is a leading specialist design, manufacturing, and installation company that provides integrated structural glass, steel, and ETFE solutions. We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team. Working in the Commercial team you will be responsible for controlling project commercial activities. You will work closely with the project managers, site managers and site supervisors to control costs and ensure smooth project delivery. Main Responsibilities: Commercially responsible for assigned projects Manage client: based and supply chain payments Prepare and agree claims, contra: charges with supply chain and clients Carry out client: based contract risk reviews and negotiations and present to senior leadership Raise and administer sub: contracts Manage and ensure all financial and contractual aspects and impacts of all contracts are communicated to the team and managed accordingly Manage and administer contractual obligations Financial management and reporting of the project and its supply chain Management and undertaking of technical procurement Resolving contractual and commercial queries and issues Identify risks and implement risk management strategies Ensure compliance with current legislation and good practice Oversee performance of KPIs Prepare and issue notices and contractual letters Oversee and control change management Control all project related costs and undertake monthly CVRs and reports Manage and prepare contractual and legal claims Site visits and client interaction Manage project related accounts from award to final accounts Develop and table new ideas for improvements in commercial management/activities About you: Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or qualified by experience Minimum 5 years post: graduate experience of working as a QS in the construction industry or 10 years experience if no.
