Summary - Objective The Quality Technician follows and maintains the quality system processes as directed to ensure quality system requirements and objectives are being met. This will be accomplished by working cooperatively and continuously with all levels of employees and customers to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction possible. Key Accountabilities - RESULTS EXPECTED TO ACHIEVE Meet or exceed organizational goals for safety, quality, cost and delivery Maintain organization's Critical Supplier List Key Responsibilities - TASKS YOU DO TO ACHIEVE THE ACCOUNTABILTIES Ensures company standards for safety, quality and customer satisfaction are met or exceeded Initiates corrective actions and the investigation of issues when notified by product arriving, email or phone Communicates with all parties involved including department managers, customers, and operators to gather details and assist in the investigation Support Quality Team in gathering information from customers and creates summaries detailing out problems identified Respond to customers timely with progress of investigation and complete CARs or customer SCARs by required deadlines Review all required actions related to closing CARs completed by managers and provide feedback as necessary to ensure root cause is identified and solved with verification of effectiveness Monitors corrective action process by continually reviewing open CARs and works towards their resolution Maintain and support equipment and tools requiring calibration Coordinate with scheduling and departments to ensure calibration is completed timely without equipment reaching calibration expiration Enter calibration dates into system and upload Certs when received from vendor Review 'Out of Calibration' reports to ensure equipment is not being used when service to the equipment is needed Enter in all new items to be calibrated as needed and update all appropriate information Review of customer complaints Create CARs on incoming rework Create holds on part number(s) as necessary Review required actions related to closing CARs completed by managers and provide feedback as necessary to ensure root cause is identified and solved with verification of effectiveness and all required documentation has been updated on a weekly basis Review Daily Hold / Rework report and work with the manager to complete the CAR to get the parts off hold Review completed Nadcap jobs on a weekly basis to ensure proper documentation has been scanned into Arrow Flow Assists with internal auditing for ISO and NADCAP Properly, and effectively respond to customer related issues including the following activities Start investigation of issues when notified by product arriving, email, or phone call Communicate with managers, customers, and technicians to gather details and assist in the investigation Determine whether a corrective action and or quality alert needs to be created Create CARS/ICARS (Corrective Action/Internal Corrective Actions) when required within a 24 Hour period or less Take pictures or compile information sent from customer(s) into a summary of the issue Respond to customer with progress of investigation and complete CARs or customer SCARs by required deadline Keeps the corrective action process moving by continually reviewing initial approval and pending approval CARs and works to record and resolve them Support personnel in gathering information from customers and creates summaries detailing out problems identified Respond to customers timely with progress of investigation and complete CARs or customer SCARs by required deadlines Monitors corrective action process by continually reviewing open CARs and works towards their resolution Assist in specification review when necessary; give guidance and support the decision-making process for requirements Regulatory and Customer Audits Attends audits when requested to aid auditors with questions, concerns, and data collection Be attentive and engaged with a goal of increasing understanding of QMS requirements, the interpretation of all applicable standards, and customer requirements Assist with tasks associated with closing out findings from audits Customer Projects Supports projects such as PPAP's, IQ, OQ, PQ validations or requests related to current or future projects to ensure customer requirements are being met Complete customer surveys as directed Supports the creation and review of quality documents and reports SOPs or Work Instructions as directed CAR forms and Quality Alerts as needed Creates, and maintains forms, templates, and reports as needed Preventative Actions and Continuous Improvement Train personnel on documents and or testing when required Other duties as required Must be able to work 7:00am-3:30pm Monday through Friday Requirements Qualities for Success High school diploma or GED equivalent Associates Degree or Technical Degree preferred Must be a Citizen of the United States of America or have a current Green Card Strong attention to detail to ensure safety and quality General computer skills and the ability to work with basic computer programs Ability to balance workload effectively and stay organized Ability to read and understand processes, procedures, and instructions Ability to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the organization's QMS program Strong 'presence' with customers in person and/or on the phone Ability to work and collaborate with others respectfully and professionally Ability work 40 hours minimum a week, be dependable and punctual, and work overtime as needed Physical Requirements Lift up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 30 lbs. on occasion Standing, sitting, reach, feel, use of hands and fingers, walking, stooping, and bending for 8 hours as the position requires Ability to withstand occasional odors Required to regularly hear and speak The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work Environment This position location is on both the production floor and in the office. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
