Quality Manager SUMMARYThis is a management position that requires a general understanding of management ofpeople and processes. The work is often hands-on, interacting with shop floorpersonnel, tool & die designers, toolmakers, Quality, Production, and Maintenance toensure the most effective plans are created and implemented.JOB DESCRIPTION Strong understanding of fabrication processes related to our customers Products. General knowledge of the quality systems supporting the metal fabrication industry. Capable of driving strategies related to the Quality Management System. (QMS) Strong communication skills supporting Engel Diversified Industries QMS. Capable of one-on-one conversation with our customers and vendors while workingthrough quality concerns that may arise. Understanding and creation of the process flow diagrams, PFMEA's, Control Plansas required for PPAP documentation. Mentoring employees in the quality department by sharing technical expertise andproviding feedback and guidance. Identifies weaknesses in processes that negatively affect part quality andcontributes ideas for corrective action. Manages quality containment and MRB, Leads containment activity and ensurescustomer relationship and cooperate image are not adversely affected by qualityescapes. Working with production leads the corrective action process. Works cooperativelywith responsible area to ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented. Assist Production in troubleshooting activities at the machine/process to solveunforeseen manufacturing challenges. Working with Sales and Production to determine and create processes that achievethe customers part print expectations. Develop and implement procedures, work instructions, supporting our ISOstandards as well as continuous improvement planning. Capable of leadership of all QMS/ISO audits of internal and external businessfunctions. Can provide and implement safety, quality, and delivery improvements adhering toour cooperate values. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops,reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, andparticipating in professional societies. And all other duties as required in this position.JOB REQUIREMENTS Five (5) or more years' experience in metal stamping, fabrication industry. Deep understanding of metal stamping and sheet metal fabrication technologiesrelated to the Quality Management System. Experience with quality tools of a typical inspection laboratory. Micrometer,Calipers, Gauges, Pin Gauges, Go/No-Go Gauges, General Hand Measuring tools,and CMM's. The general calibration of these tools. Experience working with a team of Quality Technicians. Level 1 and 2. Experience with ISO 9001/2015 Standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions. Working knowledge of CMM programming. "Hands-on" approach, with passion for continues improvement. Excellent communication skills, maintaining effective working relationships.LEADERSHIP REQUIREMENTS Maintains ethics and integrity congruent to the company's mission and values. Assists in the development of personnel through positive reinforcement andcoaching techniques. Establishes performance standards of the department, monitoring employeeperformance and training to maximize performance within the department. Responsibilities include hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraisingperformance, rewarding, and disciplining employees. Addressing complaints andassuring problems are resolved.
