We are looking for a Quality Manager to work on a permanent basis near Ashton Under Lyne. Our client is looking for someone who has previous experience of working in the aerospace industry but will consider similar industries. Salary is c£35-45,000 per annum negotiable, depending on experience plus 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, etc.. We are looking for a Quality Manager to work on a permanent basis near Ashton Under Lyne. Our client is looking for someone who has previous experience of working in the aerospace industry but will consider similar industries. Salary is c£35-45,000 per annum negotiable, depending on experience plus 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, etc. Establish and maintain effective quality control processes, procedures, and policies in accordance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and contractual obligations.. Coordinate regular external audits of the business including customer audits, external industry bodies, environmental etc.. Address and resolve supplier/internal quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks. Perform regular audits of key suppliers within our supply chain.. Define key quality metrics and monitor their performance to identify areas for improvement.. Drive a culture of continuous improvement by initiating and leading quality improvement projects.. Day to day management of the inspection department. Requirements. · Proven track record in a senior quality role in Aerospace or similar industry. · Excellent customer facing skills with a proactive approach to problem solving. · Solid understanding of AS9100. · Understanding/experience of FAIR process AS9102. · Ability to interpret 2D & 3D drawings. · Experience of AS9100 and NADCAP audits. · Familiar with a range of problem solving techniques 5 why, 8D etc..
