1. Responsible for plant quality control system to ensure that controls are functioning in the areas of process, purchased material and final product quality to maintain internal and external quality costs while ensuring customer expectations are met. 2. Consults with plant management in preparation of the annual quality budget. Makes commitments to quality plans for the plant. 3. Supervises preparation of all quality reports to midentify problems. Assists plant management to achieve desired results. 4. Performs special studies and analyses at the request of plant or division management. 5. Contacts customers or suppliers regarding resolution of quality or product liability problems of a technical nature. 6. Directs or assists in the selection, hiring and training of engineers and technicians. 7. Responsible for disposition of defective materials. 8. Direct QOS system management. 9. Reports on quality at all plant management reviews. 10. Drives cost of quality improvement. 11. Project management in areas involving quality. 12. Administer and sign-off on existing/new process changes/implementation. 13. Overtime is required to internal and external qualifications. 14.
