Purchasing Agent needed needed for a global manufacturing company located in North Houston. . This position will be the key point of contact with any parts coming through the warehouse. This is a direct hire position. Responsibilities: -> Negotiate terms and pricing and develop and maintain relationships with key vendors -> Run analysis, maintain, organize all minimum/max levels while working with sales to determine future inventory needs-> Manage, request and organize all quotes for sales related to overseas vendors-> Manage, supervise and review all data related to the overseas warehouse including purchase orders, sales orders (PHIT) and containers coming into Houston Qualifications: -> Bachelor?s degree required and 5-10yrs of purchasing background in the fastener and/or bar product industries-> Previous background working in an ERP system such as Oracle, SAP or Epicor -> 2-3 yrs of management experience and A.P.I.C.S.
