We are seeking a Project Procurement Specialist to join our team! Position Overview This position is responsible for soliciting pricing from construction trade subcontractors for small and mid-size commercial construction projects across the U.S . Remote requests will be via phone or electronic communications , and thru Building Connected platform. The applicant will be responsible for creating the electronic solicitations, monitoring solicitations for prices and accuracy , bidders responses, and bid compliance to requirements. The Project Procurement Specialist will work to ensure responsiveness to pricing requests by regular contact with bidders before, during and after the solicitation to help find answers to questions about how to respond through the electronic sourcing tool and encourage their participation. They will be responsible to create a summary of results to send to the project manager ultimately responsible for the project. This person will make or recommend improvements to the process to ensure consistency, efficiency, and data analytics accuracy. Interactions will be mainly with subcontractors and Project Manager s. Responsibilities Working alongside the appropriate branch personnel (Procurement & Operations): Identify potential sourcing opportunities that would fit the use of Diamond Contractors search for subcontractors on our projects Assemble project information to post on Building Connected , including start/end date and scope of work for each trade. Identify bidders to be invited through Building Connected platform , preferred supplier lists or from Project Managers Monitor the event to ensure participation from bidders and to address any technical issues that arise (address with appropriate IT personnel). Liaise with appropriate project managers to answer bidder questions. Summarize bids on bid due date Continued promotion of the eSourcing tool and process. Analysis of bids for cost negotiation opportunities Other responsibilities as identified and assigned. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience High School graduate or equivalent 1- 2 years Construction Experience & knowledge Ability to work both within a team atmosphere, and be able to work individually, in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel. Ability to communicate tactfully and diplomatically in both oral and written formats. Dynamic, energetic personality that is self-motivated to succeed. Ability to take direction, both from manager and team-members. Ability to work with other departments to resolve all issues. Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Familiarity with internet based applications for purchasing Familiarity with construction business Familiarity with working with construction subcontractors Driven, aggressive, passionate self-starter Benefits Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision plans with options Matching 401(k) (2) weeks PTO and paid holidays Company laptop
