About Our Opportunity As the Tangible Capital Program Analyst, you will serve as a financial advisor for the Capital Infrastructure Program administered and managed by the department of Public Works Your key responsibility will be to provide council, advice, analysis, and assistance to senior management, capital program staff, client departments, and school boards on all financial matters related to capital spending for both departments. You will manage the capital approvals and commitments in accordance with legislation and audit requirements. You will work directly with the Director/Executive Director of Finance and will provide support and analysis to the Program Directors and the Deputy Ministers office as required. As the Tangible Capital Program Analyst, you will report to the Manager, Capital Projects. Primary Accountabilities You will control, monitor, and manage expenditures and cash flow for capital spending on buildings, roads, bridges, ferries, equipment, schools and various health projects to ensure commitments against capital budgets are not exceeded.
