Procurement Services supports the University community by setting procurement standards through policies, procedures, processes, and guidelines. It includes the Acquisitions & Sourcing team and the Services and Operations team. The Acquisitions & Sourcing team includes procurement professionals who conduct sourcing initiatives involving sourcing strategies, developing approved suppliers for the Supplier Network, leading procurements on behalf of the St. George campus, and providing training, support and guidance when required. The Services and Operations team is responsible for administering key central programs including the Purchasing and Travel & Hospitality cards, u SOURCE (the electronic marketplace), reviewing Purchase Orders for compliance prior to release and managing data analytics and reporting. Working together, the department promotes sustainable and ethical procurement practices and is supported by a culture of teamwork, collaboration, continuous learning and improvement that ensures accountability and transparency, as well as workplace diversity, inclusion and mutual respect.
