The Omics and Informatics group, part of our Protein and Process Analytics Team in Lonza Bio R&D are seeking a highly motivated individual with a proven record in innovative workflow development, multi-omics study design and biological data interpretation. This high-level scientific role requires specialisation in Metabolomics and Lipidomics, hands-on experience with mass spectrometry and advanced data analysis tools for Omics and multi-omics studies. The Principal Scientist will have the chance to support leading edge innovative studies within Lonza Biologics, participating in publications and will be key to coaching and developing more junior members of the team. Key responsibilities: Providing oversight and executing scientific activities with elements of study design and implementation, laboratory work, scientific review, coaching of junior scientists, project management, professional mentoring, technology scouting. Generating multi-omics datasets using various mass spectrometry-based approaches and dissecting the complexity of the available data to provide biological interpretation advancing knowledge and leading improvements in biomanufacturing process Developing and leading innovative Lipidomics, Metabolomics and multi-omics approaches to drive breakthrough applications Providing scientific leadership and direction within the team and leading strong collaboration efforts across the Bio R&D department to maximize synergies and impact Engaging in external collaborations and disseminating results through publication.
