Principal Family Support Worker - Redbridge Are you a passionate, dedicated Principal Family Support Worker looking for your next role 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Principal Family Support Worker to join a Troubled Families Team based in Redbridge. Umbrella Rate: £25.99 per hour Duration: 08/01/2023 – 2 months initially Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.15pm, 36 hrs/week Principal Family Support Worker role: Full JD Available Direct work with children and families Work is undertaken with families before the point of the threshold being met for statutory child protection by improving the early identification of need and timely early responses from coordinated services Address the core issues affecting families systemically such as problem debts, parental conflict, drugs and alcohol abuse, with a strong focus on worklessness and homelessness Identify risks and provide support with interventions and referrals, ensuring the family receive the right support Make appropriate referrals to Child Protection Team CPAT in line with safeguarding procedures Responsible for managing up to 6 family support workers that case hold families referred into the service The responsibilities include direct supervision, case allocation, care planning and quality assurance Provide consultation, advice and guidance Assist in ensuring individual training needs are identified and appropriate training plans developed for them Give clear guidelines on child protection issues to other staff Arrange cover for staff where necessary Keep and maintain accurate records of daily work Represent the Service Manager at internal and external meetings where appropriate Work in partnership with agencies Keep up to date with good practice guidance, current legalisation, Government initiatives and local policies and procedures Essential Requirements Qualification on childcare, social work or relating to domestic violence At least 5 years’ experience working with children and familieinteractionperience.
