Job Description Position Title: Primeline Operator Division: Millwork Purpose How does the position contribute to the success of the operation, division and company? The Primeline Operator is responsible setting up the spray booth or the vacuum coater and the quality of product. Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Expectations and Performance Measures What measures or metrics will the individual be measured on and what level of performance is required? Other duties may be assigned. Set up machine and complete change overs. Follow lock out procedures and get certification. Check set up to ensure that the product is within customer tolerances. Visually inspect moulding for defects. Create tags for completed orders in SAP. Assist with the training of those who are new to the work center. Effective time management and organizational skills. High level of attention to detail. Reporting Line and Supervisory Responsibilities The Primeline Operator reports to the Production Supervisor. Physical Demands and Work Environment What working conditions or physical functions are normally required to perform the essential functions of the job? The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical sawmill environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
