The Personal Support Worker is a multi-functional team member, assisting residents in supportive living. The Personal Support Worker provides support to assist with preventative healthcare, health maintenance and quality of life. Assistance may include but is not limited to the following: facilitating life skills, improving relationships, accompanying to appointments, and shopping trips, using alternate communication skills and supporting the team with other related duties to enhance the care of the resident and the safety of the environment. Qualifications Graduation from a recognized Health Care Aide Program preferred or Psychiatric Aide Program Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Suicide Prevention Module Secondary Education based on a Psychology framework Experience working with Mental Health and Dementia residents Clear criminal record security clearance with vulnerable sector included (no more than 6 months old) Must have a valid Driver’s License and vehicle as this is required for transportation for the residents Powered by Jazz HR.
