Part-time Librarian(20 hours per week)Selected applicant will work with 2 other personnel in support of an integration program to merge the services of the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Library and the expanded Joint Special Operations Forces Research Center. The librarian will support the development and maintenance of a library Collection Management Plan. This plan shall show the level of support to HQ USSOCOM and Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) and how the library will select, acquire, and deselect print, non print, and database resources to meet the JSOU research mission and library day-to-day operations. In addition to standard library resources, USSOCOM and other military reading lists will be reviewed for selection of research and reading materials monthly. The librarian will also develop and maintain a collection of Special Operations Forces related materials in accordance with JSOU requirements, monitor serial receipts and record distribution, and submit claims for non-receipt.Additional tasks may include: acquiring and tracking materials purchased for the library, maintaining the Command periodical subscription list and orders, submitting a library annual report to JSOU, providing student and faculty access to books, periodicals, newspapers, indexes, and electronic databases, providing details, referral and research assistance on requests received, developing and executing a plan for electronic access to library resources and collections through multiple means, and developing and delivering training aids or educational tutorials on library use and research techniques.Min/Mandatory Requirements:-¢ 5+ years of Librarian/Media Center background within a learning facility.-¢ Great communication abilities.-¢ Must be proficient using basic computer applications to include Microsoft office suite applications.-¢ Current SECRET security clearance or expertise to obtain.-¢ Masters of Library and Details Science (MLIS) DegreePreferred Requirements:-¢ Previous background within the military Special Operations Forces community.-¢ TS/SCI security clearance.Streamline Defense offers perspective employees an unmatched opportunity to grow and learn in an exciting and entrepreneurial environment.
