Job Summary Part-Time Organist/Choir Director – St . Monica Catholic Church Job Responsibilities Prepare and lead music and worship at designated weekend and holy day liturgies on a regular basis. Accompany and lead weekly rehearsals of choirs (Adult, children, cantors as needed). Willingness to work with people to train for participation as cantors, and choir members Provide additional services when necessary for Holy Week, Christmas, Sacraments, Funerals, Weddings, etc. Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Requirement Job Requirements Active Member Of A Catholic Faith Community Degree In Music Or Equivalent Experience Required: Superior Piano, Organ, Choral, And Vocal Skills. Guitar Skills Optional. Experience And Expertise With Different Styles Of Music: Traditional Catholic Music And Contemporary Catholic/Christian Music Relationship Requirements Willingness To Work With Pastor And Other Music Ministers Collaboratively To Foster The Uniquevision Of The Parish Great Communication, Time Management, And Interpersonal Skills The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
