Operator I : Chemical at Bostiks Ashland, Ohio facility. Perform chemical operator duties at the Bostiks Ashland, Ohio facility. This position is a day shift position. Work hours 6:00 am : 2:00 pm with frequent overtime. The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following: : Must follow all safety rules, regulations, operating procedures, corporate/plant policies and laws at all times.Work frequent overtime (12 hour shifts): Wear powered air purifying respirator as needed.Be able to lift 50 lbs safely.Ability to go up and down steps safely: Safely operate an industrial lift truck (sit down and stand up): Compounding and staging of raw materials: Blending of chemicals and powders: Charging liquid chemicals and powders to mixers: Monitoring mixers during mixing and reaction: Use of distributed control systems to control and monitor process: Labeling and filling containers with product: Take samples of powder and liquids to ensure product quality, stage empty containers, maintain satisfactory housekeeping standards, prepare equipment for maintenance.Safely handling industrial chemicals using established safe plant procedures and processes.Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including chemical suit, respirator, face shield, googles, safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, steel toed boots, and etc.Accurately complete shop floor paperwork in both written and electronic format: Use of computerized MRP system.Participate in company safety meetings and training.Assist shipping/receiving and other production areas as needed. In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: : Must have a high school Diploma or equivalent: Must be safety conscious, reliable, and have a strong work ethic.Minimum of one year of hands on manufacturing experience desired; chemical manufacturing experience preferred.Be willing to work any shift and frequent overtime (12 hour shifts): Must be computer literate and.
