Relocation assistance available for out of town applicants. Responsibilities The Operations Manager role is a hands-on position that requires a thorough knowledge of Central Alberta. The primary business at Prairie Bus Lines is Student Transportation. Principal duties and responsibilities include: All aspects of managing staff including the internal and external postings, recruitment, and hiring of staff as well as leading the discipline process when required Supervise and delegate responsibilities of personnel, ensuring all routes are covered in the most equitable and efficient manner Set-up and input data for driver payroll; check and extend time cards for correct information Assist with driver performance issues by supervising and supporting the Training Officer Host monthly safety meetings Represent all personnel by participating in Driver's Committee meetings Handle public and driver inquiries, hostile or complimentary, demonstrating empathy and professionalism Coordinate with charter customers by providing quotes, inputting data, and confirm/assign drivers Work closely with the Transportation Supervisor in setting up routes Prepare monthly.
