The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the general direction of the Manager of Patient Care, the incumbent functions as a pivotal member of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate and provide clinical management to patients with complex health issues within the defined patient population and acts as a resource person to other healthcare professionals and to the community. The Nurse Clinician utilizes advanced skills and knowledge and performs at a high level of independence as a clinical practitioner, leader, consultant and educator. Practices are in accordance with employer policy and professional standards. The Nurse Clinician supports families in Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, Nunavut and Saskatchewan as required. Experience Minimum of three (3) years recent clinical experience in HIV, STI and Hepatitis C care required. Recent Ambulatory experience required. Expertise in Chronic disease management. Experience in electronic medical records and working knowledge of medical charting system. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required. Bachelor of Nursing Degree preferred. Successful completion of a relevant post-basic program may be required or preferred in a designated area. Lean Training an asset. Certification/Licensure/Registration Current.
