Background: In high-school my focus was in early childhood education, and I worked in a preschool and LOVED it. I went on to College to become a teacher, but found out after completing most of my coursework, that I was not cut out to work with kids as a teacher, but more fit to improve the lives of families through my extreme expertise to care for and nurture children outside of a school setting. Through college, I was the after school director of a teen program at the YMCA, something I took much pride in. I also ran a before and after school program at the YMCA in Albuquerque New Mexico, another child-based job I not only excelled at, but was very proud of, and loved very much. I was also a substitute teacher for some time through college, substituting on days off in any sort of setting from regular classrooms, to being a one on 1 aid with mentally and physically challenged children.
