Job ID: TAP00096 Position: Microelectronics Technical Lead Location: US – Remote Category: Hardware Clearance Requirement: None Education Requirement: BS in Electrical Engineering (or related technical field) Experience Requirement: 7+ Years TAP is seeking to hire a Microelectronics Technical Lead to join our team! The Microelectronics Technical Lead will directly support the U.S. Government in overseeing and managing large domestic advanced packaging development projects being executed by primes. The ideal candidate will draw upon subject matter expertise across multiple points in the microelectronics supply chain, with a primary focus in microelectronics system design development and FPGA centric designs. This person will work closely with a small team of industry experts, each covering a different aspect of the supply chain and/or technology area, to provide strategic guidance to a broad portfolio of unique and sensitive programs. Required Qualifications : U.S. Citizenship and the willingness and ability to obtain a Secret-level clearance with the U.S. government. BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field 7+ Years of Experience Microelectronics hardware subject matter experience : Familiarity with ASIC design architectures, or Familiarity with FPGA design architectures Trade studies leading to packaging decisions for chiplets I/O chip to chip protocols such as SERDES, PCIe, AIB, UCIe. Ability to comprehend defense needs for advanced microelectronics. Ability to mentor more junior project team members, regardless of organizational structures. Ability to perform a technical assessment of current and future microelectronics technologies, develop technology trends and reports, and make key recommendations to internal and external senior stakeholders. Experience in leading technical teams and projects. Technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience communicating (written, presentation, verbal) at all levels. This may include briefing senior government officials or working with senior-level commercial executives. It could also mean providing direction to and/or receiving inputs from junior-level individual contributors. Desired Qualifications : MS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field Active U.S. Government sponsored Secret clearance The contract associated with this position can sponsor and/or maintain higher level clearances if required.
