Make a difference – join the Life Labs team today! Life Labs BC is seeking a Medical Biochemist to join our medical scientific staff. The chemistry laboratory performs most of the outpatient laboratory testing for the province of British Columbia, receiving more than 20,000 specimens per day. The successful candidate will be based at our main testing facility in Burnaby. Occasional travel to other sites in BC may be required. This is a Full Time Onsite role based in Burnaby, BC. This role is available from November 6, 2023. Core Accountabilities Consult with physicians and other health care providers regarding selection and interpretation of laboratory tests for their patients. Interpret and report the results of selected chemistry tests, including serum and urine protein electrophoresis, endocrine assays, autoimmune testing and toxicology. Provide leadership in the evaluation, implementation and support of new technologies. Act as an internal resource for medical scientific, technologist and support staff.
