Summary: The Medical Assistant aids and assists the practicing provider in various patient care activities. This is a clinical position which also involves various administrative duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT coding Reviewing medical histories, current allergies and medications, obtaining vital signs, wound care to include suture/staple removal, knowledge of sterile technique along with OSHA standards. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients. Responsible for escorting patients into exam rooms. Maintain, clean and stock exam rooms. Employee must show competency in applying various DME, casts and splints. Employee must know how to draw injections and prepare for aspirations and other minor office procedures. Scheduling follow-up appointments Ability to multi-task Must have at least two years of experience in busy clinic as a medical assistant. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
