The ideal candidate will support the Cold Rolling Mill automated laser welders by analyzing, troubleshooting, recommending, and overseeing repairs and improvements of all electro:mechanical systems to meet the business goals of AM/NSCalvert. The Basics: :Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience:Understanding of standard mechanical engineering principles and practices, drawings, and fine tolerances:Competency or ability to learn PLC programming platforms with use of ladder logic, function block, and statement list logic:Competency or ability to learn power distribution systems, motors drives, sensors, actuator systems, and communication protocols:Competency or ability to learn hydraulic, mechanical drive systems, and alignments: Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint) The Extras: :Exposure or experience with maintenance in an industrial environment, preferably in the steel industry preferred: Knowledge of industrial C02 laser welding systems and optics : Knowledge of process automation applications : Knowledge of hydraulics, power transmission, and complex machine alignments: Knowledge of SAP or other CMMS systems: Knowledge of IBA, or similar process trending software: Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex issues:Demonstrated knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Practices TRAITS TO BE SUCCESSFUL :Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, work in small and large teams:Demonstrates strong decision:making, analytical, and problem:solving skills:Anticipates and adopts innovations in business:building digital and technology applications:Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives:Knows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement:Demonstrates the company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :Maintaining and continuous improvement of the reliability of two automated CO2 Laser strip welders and associated equipment:T
