The skills and responsibilities for the position are listed below:Works from blueprints, work orders and instructions:- Participates in Continuous Improvement Projects.- Work in a factory setting; expertise to stand 6-10 hours daily, expertise to lift- Uses measurement devices such as a tape measure, caliper, micrometer, etc.- Follows safety guidelines for safe operation of all equipment.- Determines necessary tooling to be used for each work order and set-up if required.- Experience in crane or heavy equipment manufacturing preferred.- Enters work order details through terminals in the shop.- Performs other duties as assigned.Uses: Various hand and power tools, measuring devices, fork truck, overhead crane.Position qualifications:- Troubleshoots own work.- Uses hand tools, magnetic drill, grinder and air tools to assemble product.- Min one year related background preferred.- Frequently works from an elevated position.- Reads mechanical drawings for product and assembles accordingly.- Prepares layout for sub assemblies.- High-school degree or equivalency required.- Operates a fork truck and all overhead cranes.
