Job Requisition Number: 32991 External Position title: Mechanic Employment Status: Full time Location: 804 WALKER RD.DOVER, Delaware 19904-0000External Description: Position title: Production MechanicDescription of Duties:Handle varying degrees of complex work assignments efficiently and must befamiliar with theuse of most hand tools and precision measuring devices. Expected to do somedegree of lowpressure welding, soldering, pipe fitting, sheet metal fabrication and some lowcomplexity repairsto electrical interface and respond to all PLC readouts. Must be able to workfrom schematics,sketches, written and verbal instructions and able to efficiently completeassignments undermin supervision. Maintain assigned equipment and machinery and achieveestablishedproduction goals. Functions as a Production Team player, operating equipment asrequired.Operates any production machine, maintain quality, production, efficiency andscrap goal levels.Maintain work area in accordance with 5S standards. Must consistently meetprescribed safety,quality, production and efficiency standards. Maintain strict control of all rawmaterial usagesproduct yields. Communicates process/mechanical abnormalities to Team Leader andSupervisorto facilitate corrections in a timely manner. Maintain production, batch andquality records asrequired. Follows all Playtex safety/GMP policies and guidelines. Required towork overtimeand alternate schedules as business needs dictate. Responsible to startup andshutdown functionsof all department equipment as dictated by production schedule. Work in a cellmade up of 2-10employees. Maintain open communication with employees ensuring an environment ofpositiveemployee relations. Responsible for daily turnover communication between shiftswith fellowTeammates and Management. Successful completion of OJT assessment isrequired. QualityControl of materials as required (quarantine of materials as required). Performother duties asdirected by Team Leader and/or Supervisor. Must pass the Minimizer QualificationTest.as required). Performs other duties as directed by Team Leader and/orSupervisor. Follows allPlaytex safety/GMP policies and guidelines.General Qualifications:Requires use of shop mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings,specifications.charts, table, various types of adjustable measuring instruments and thetraining generallyapplicable in a particular or specialized occupation. Equivalent to one to 3 yearsapplied tradestraining.
