MD Financial - Communications Co-ordinator Internship/Co-op - Winter 2024 This position is an excellent fit for a current post-secondary student looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, lively communications environment, while assisting with the creation of high-quality financial communications that is relevant to the needs of Canada’s physicians and their families, as well as MD Advisors and client-facing employees. What you will do: This position will support the MD Communications team on a variety of projects and strategic initiatives, with a focus on administrative support, writing and editing. You’ll assist the team in the production of client-facing communications, working with internal partners to bring projects through to completion. You’ll also assist the team in the development of internal communications to ensure that our client-facing employees – Advisors, Portfolio Managers, Client Services and Admin teams – have the content they need to have excellent conversations with clients. What you need: • Current enrolment in a university degree or post-secondary program in Corporate Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline • Experience in writing content for the digital environment • Some financial industry knowledge is an asset • Experience producing an e-newsletter or blog is an asset • Experience in client/customer-facing roles What you bring: • Stellar writing, editing and proofreading skills • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple requests • Excellent listening skills with the ability to read what’s required in each situation • High levels of innovation and creativity, paired with the ability to deliver to achieve objectives • Work effectively within a team and build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders as needed • Understanding of communication-specific.
