We presently have an open position for a Materials Planner & Purchasing Coordinator. The key responsibilities involved in the purchasing position include:a.Planning materials qualifications and & purchasing to ensure availability as required,b.monitoring and maintaining optimum inventory levelsc.negotiation and coordination of supplier pricing and deliveryd.development of new supplierse.coordination of shipping and logistics from international suppliers (Asia & Europe)f.identifying & implementing cost reductions The successful applicant will have a min of (3) years background in materials planning, purchasing & logistics background in a manufacturing environment. Prior background with global logistics, ERP and MRP would be a definite plus. The environment at is fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging. There is a very strong customer-focus by all personnel, as well as a need to manage all activities for lowest possible cost in all aspects of the organization. The position is full time, Monday through Friday. Compensation range is negotiable and dependent on applicable background.
