Materials Planner Randstad Engineering are currently recruiting for a Material Planner for Tata Steel, Hartlepool in the Planning and Scheduling department. This role is paying up to GBP26,601 per annum over 36.5 working week, 7am : 2pm monday : Friday. Purpose of the Job The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the material resource planning and enquiry handling activities for Manufacturing Units of the Tubes department, in such a manner as to satisfy both customer and supply chain needs. The position has single point responsibility for procurement and planning of manufacturing units within Tubes department. As part of a small flexible team, the successful candidate will also be required to provide stand in cover for any of the team Schedulers duties. Role Responsibilities Your duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for material master data and BOM management in ERP system Responsible for ensuring all customer materials queries and issues are answered in a timely manner Participation in New Business Introduction Meetings as required Communicating any materials or BOM issues with the relevant stakeholders in a promptly manner, to ensure as little impact on the customers order as possible Maintain procedural documentation Answer day: to: day queries from customers and internal customers Support SAP process and new processes where required Determine requirements and co: ordinate the procurement of materials Keep inventory levels at a minimum without disrupting production schedule requirements. Highlight to stakeholders where corrective action is necessary Control the MRP process Continuous improvement of the production processes and identification of cost saving initiatives Develop and maintain Performance metrics Undertake coil feedstock forecasting and planning for the Manufacturing Units order book, to produce a robust procurement instruction, which minimised working capital and optimises mill productivity The.
