Job overview: The
position calls for teaching at the undergraduate level. Candidates should have experience in teaching introductory tv production,
corporate video, and be familiar with AVID, Final Cut, and Adobe After Effects.
Duties and Responsibilities: The
applicant will be expected to work on departmental, college and university committees, participate in professional activities, and active
pursuit of a substantive agenda for scholarly/creative work. The applicant will be expected to participate in student productions. The
applicant should be prepared at the time of the interview to screen recent examples of their news and/or production work on DVD or through a
web link.
Min Requirements: A Masters in mass communication or related position required; ABD or terminal degree
preferred. A min of 5 yrs full time professional broadcast or electronic media requirements required. Preference will be given to
candidates with the expertise to teach in the following areas: introduction to tv production, corporate video, and non-linear
editing.
Preferred/Required Documents: Online faculty application with introductory letter, resume, a list of 3
professional references, and degree transcripts attached is required. PhD transcript may be attached, but is optional.
