Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Software Engineer [Req #V3748] in Santa Clara, CA, to: develop software project plan and oversee their implementation, from conception and planning to implementation, including strategies, processes and resources. Identify and resolve potential complications within the project and develop solutions for resolution. Responsible for conducting appraisals, feedback to employees and handling teamwork allocations. Lead design, development and support of projects handled by the Business Unit and Technology Group. Interact with internal customers to capture requirements and align on solutions. Manage projects. Assign work to subordinate staff. Oversee professional development of staff, providing appraisals and feedback. Troubleshoot a variety of moderately difficult software problems to lead the design of solutions and bug fixes. Recommend and drive implementation of improvements for the development and troubleshooting process. Requirements: Bachelor of Science or Foreign Equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, and three (3) years of industry experience in the position offered or related capacity(ies). Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in each of the following: (1) proficient in in C, C++ programming; (2) experience with embedded or real time programming; (3) experience with C# or Python; (4) experience with Windows Programming and Visual Studio; and (5) experience with Source Control Tools.
