MANAGER, RESPIRATORY CAREDepartment: Respiratory TherapySchedule: Full-time 80 (Two week Payperiod)Shift: VariableHours: variableJob Info: * Associate Degree* The Respiratory Care Manager directsthe daily activities of the Respiratory Care Department. Responsible for the clinical performance of all staff. Insures that all departments meet regulatory compliance and standards. Insures that departments are operating within defined budget parameters. Serves as a resource for physicians, nurses and all hospital staff for areas of Respiratory Care. In addition to the Min/Preferred requirements, the applicant musthave:current understanding of Microsoft word, Microsoft excel & PowerPoint; the expertise to develop and monitor financial indicators; a basic understanding of Respiratory billing and coding applications; demonstrated expertise to communicate effectively with physicians, IT systems analysts and Respiratory vendors; knowledge of CMS regulations, CLIA regulations, Joint Commission, and applicable regulatory and accreditation standards as they apply to Respiratory Care and the Blood Gas Laboratory. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing requirements preferred.Mimimum/Preferred Requirements:Education: Requires an A.S. Degree in Respiratory Care from an AMA Approved School of Respiratory Care. BS or MHA/MBA Degree preferred. Background:Must have 5 (5) years of hospital or outpatient clinical coordinator or progressive management and administrative background to include operational and capital budget development, productivity monitoring, performance monitoring, and recruitment programming. 3 ( 3+) years background in Respiratory Care with recent background in the management of Respiratory Care, Pulmonary Function Testing, and Blood Gas Laboratory preferred. License/Certification:Must be registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Must have BCLS & ACLS certifications or expertise to obtain within 6 mnths of hire. Must have a DE License to practice Respiratory Care. ACLS, PALS & NRP Certification preferred.
