Learn more about us at www. novascotia. ca/natr About Our Opportunity Reporting to the senior management team in the Clean Energy Branch, the Manager of Clean Electricity supports the provincial government’s efforts to develop clean energy resources, reduce Nova Scotia’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, create jobs and transition to a low carbon economy. As the Manager you provide sound, timely, policy advice to decision makers in areas including wind and solar energy programs, electricity system regulation and economic development impacts. As Manager, you work as part of a collaborative team to lead the development of policy and programs across the electricity sector. You will lead a group of motivated experts operating existing programs and developing new ones in an exciting, rapidly evolving sector. Primary Accountabilities The position involves the following responsibilities: Leads the design and development of innovative programs to support Nova Scotia’s transition to renewable energy, including research, data collection and analysis, consultation, formulation, and implementation of new programs and business models. Work in electricity policy areas like renewable energy, energy storage technologies and innovative business models for new technologies.
