Maintenance Mechanic - PLC ProgrammerCategory: Maintenance TechDescription: Techstaff has partnered with a Fortune 500 Company in the Tampa Bay area specializing in high-speed production, packaging and food service. We currently seek Multi-crafted mechanics with PLC skills preferably with filling and packaging experience. The ideal candidate will have the potential to advance to a PLC Programmer position in the next year or so.Requirements:- Strong mechanical knowledge of pumps, valves, gears, bearings, lubricants, etc.- Must possess a variety of experience and in depth knowledge in areas such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, Industrial Controls, PLC ladder logic, plumbing, HVAC, welding, and metal processing equipment.- Excellent analytical skills- Expertise to plan projects, lead teammates and coordinate tasks.- Min of 2yrs of technical school or certified training related to above experience requirements.- Proven expertise to aggressively meet goals and/or objectives.- Excellent attendance- Min of 5yrs of experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent.- Expertise to work any shift, long hours and be on call 24 hrs a day- Able to physically walk, crawl, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, bend and squat to perform normal maintenance work.- Knowledge and expertise to read blue printsA proficiency in both written and oral communications is required. Particular experience with Rockwell Control Logix and PLC5’s, with Servo and Hydraulic Motion Control, Wonderware and RSView HMI products and Networks experience is required. Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems and applications, including Windows 2000/NT/XP, Ms word, Ms excel, Outlook, is essential. Good issue solving, troubleshooting, analytical skills, and proficient use of Microsoft and Rockwell software as it relates to Control Logix 5000 systems hardware, Variable Frequency Drives and the motion controllers.
