6798BRAdvertised Job title Maintenance ManagerDivision Mission SystemsWork Location KY, Fort CampbellJob Description THIS POSITION IS PENDING CONTRACT AWARDPOSITION DETAILS:The Maintenance Manager is responsible to the Program Manager (PM) for the overall planning and execution of the maintenance program supporting the Fort Campbell Directorate of Logistics (DOL) contract.MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:1.Supervises the planning and scheduling of the maintenance workloads to optimize use of resources, including personnel, time, tools, equipment, and facilities.2.Prioritizes the maintenance workload to support mission planning guidance.3.Supervises the preparation of, analyzes, and briefs reports on maintenance schedules, production, performance, and trends.4.Establishes Maintenance Department policies and procedures and ensures they are effectively enforced.5.Enforces the Army Maintenance Standard in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 750-1 and Department of the Army Pamphlets (DA PAM) 738-750-8 and 750-8.6.Organizes Maintenance Support Teams, as needed, to support the mission.7.Implements and monitors the maintenance, safety, Modification Work Order (MWO) management, warranty, calibration, and Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP).8.Monitors the flow of parts request and ensures shop production timelines are met.9.Ensures the shops enforce supply economy and controls use and care of Government parts, tools, and equipment.10.Ensures compliance with Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) and waste management policies and procedures.11.Ensures all personnel follow Technical Manual (TM) safety procedures when operating and maintaining equipment.12.Establishes programs to meet normal and contingency mission requirements. Directly supervises, monitors, and controls these programs, as needed.13.Manages the QC effort, ensuring personnel are properly trained, setting their priorities, and monitoring their efforts. Maintains documentation, as required by the PWS.14.Ensures that diagnostic and specialized test equipment, such as compression testers, multimeters, motor analyzers, and test benches to test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment, are properly used and calibrated.15.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of maintenance facilities statuses including jobs, personnel, tools, and upcoming events.16.Performs other duties and assignments as required.MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:Personal computer and other general office equipmentWORKING ATMOSPHERE:Work is generally conducted in an office environment and at project work areas. Duties, however, may involve the conduct of work outdoors with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:Work may require lifting up to 50lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical dangers and chemical or hazardous agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published work rules.MIN REQUIREMENTS:Education/Certifications: 1 Year related skills may be substituted for 1 year of education, if degree is required.High-school graduate or equivalent; Associate Degree is desirable. Military background and training in a maintenance-related position desired.Background:The Maintenance Manager shall have a min of 5 yrs of general managerial experience in maintenance operations, to include fire control and electronics equipment, in support of a military Customer, primarily the US Army. Background is required in the management of combat light and heavy wheeled vehicle maintenance. Unit status and material readiness reporting, military correspondence and a knowledge and understanding of the Armys chain of command are required. Must understand and be well versed in the performance of Field- and Sustainment-level maintenance of tactical and combat vehicles/weapon systems. Must be familiar with DA PAM 700-138 and have background in material readiness tracking and reporting, including preparation of periodic readiness reports. Must have a working understanding of DA PAM 750-8, The Army Maintenance Management System. Must have a current expertise of the US Army Supply System, including shop stock and bench stock operations. Must have a valid driver s license. Must have background with various US Army logistics STAMIS systems such as SAMS-E, SARSS, ULLS-G and ALIMS.Skills:Must have successfully completed a U.S. Army commissioned officer/warrant officer management course, non-commissioned officer MOS 63Z (Mechancial Maintenance Supervisor) or equivalent civilian acquired occupational skill criteria contained in DA PAM 611-21. Must possess excellent computer, interpersonal, and oral and written correspondence abilities.Clearance Level Required at Start Date SecretWork Status Full time
