Location Musselwhite Purpose We are seeking an eager and energetic Long Hole Driller Trainee with a positive attitude to join our Longhole Drilling team and develop their skills and knowledge to contribute to our ongoing development and growth. Responsibilities include: Train to operate long hole drill efficiently and accurately to drill production holes, slot raises, drop raises, etc. Assist operators to complete other production tasks (hole cleaning, loading, blasting, etc. ) as required Take direction from Production Leaders and/or Underground Supervisors in a respectful manner Inspect and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times Other duties that may reasonably be required. The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience and competencies: 1 – 3 years of underground mining experience and/or previous experience operating heavy machinery Previous experience drilling, loading, and blasting beneficial Basic understanding of how to read, understand, and follow engineering prints Possess Ontario Basic Common Core Ability to lift up to 50lbs Current and valid Driver’s License preferred A high level of flexibility to adapt to changes as necessitated by the business Possess effective communication skills and be a collaborative team member Working Conditions The schedule for this position will consist.
