Do you have an interest in keeping swimmers and other pool patrons safe? "There's more to explore" in the Aquatics Department as a Lifeguard. Pay Range: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour based on qualifications.We are one park district, one community.POSITION: PART TIMECurrently Hiring for ALL shifts: days, evenings, weekends RESPONSIBILITIES Enforce all pool rules at all times. Prevent accidents and keep patrons safe. Scan zone of coverage and be able to recognize someone in distress. Be alert at all times. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE Ability to swim 100 yards (4 lengths) using freestyle, breaststroke, or a combination of both strokes. Ability to do a feet first surface dive and retrieve a weighted brick Ability to tread water for 1 minute without the use of your hands. Current NPWLPT certification or able to participate in upcoming course. Must be at least 15 years of age. Please see the attachment for the job description.
