Summary Come join our family!We are in search for a Lead Teacher to join our expanding team. If you are someone who loves to teach and enrich children?s ability to learn, we are interested in talking to you! Duties Leading and managing a classroom Developing a caring, supportive atmosphere for children and their parents Providing an effective learning environment within the classroom with the focus on school readiness skills Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in the class whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in common areas; Maintain regular observation and evaluation of children's development and progress as directed by Center Director and Behavior Specialist; Maintain responsibility on a daily basis for the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor, and cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom; Create safe and appropriate diapering, toileting, and handwashing areas and help children with all personal hygiene skills; Plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate classroom practices that will include the areas of physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs of young children. Encourage children's development in the areas of building self-confidence, problem solving, and taking responsibility for their actions; Interact with each child on a daily basis through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play, etc. Nurture positive relationships with parents and establish continual communication. Collaborating with other teachers and staff to support each classroom and individual child's needs. Other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Requirements At least 20 years old Vermont Early Childhood career ladder Level three Associate degree in related field (early childhood, human services, etc.) 21 college credits in related field and 12 months experience Benefits - $18 - $25 per hour depending on experience -Paid vacation and sick time-Paid Professional Development opportunities-Employee childcare discount-Paid planning time-Retirement options-Now offering HEALTH INSURANCE for fulltime employees! -Fun and friendly work environment
