As our Lead Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have complex mental health needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations. Amazing we know! You’ll support our customers who live in a large Victorian house in central Exeter on a quiet road close to the station and town centre. Our office is in the garden, and we also have a lovely summer house, so you have your own space too. We’re also close to the quayside which is perfect for getting out on your break! Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Coordinator) · Creating support plans with your customers and coordinating our small team of Support Workers working to the plans. · Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able. · Carrying out risk backssments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews. · Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to collaborate with colleagues too.
