Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM Sterile Processing Experience Required CRCST or CBSPD Required Overview Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Assists the supervisor in providing quality, cost-effective decontamination, sterilization, and distribution services. Trains and directs CSPD staff, problem solves equipment failures and functions as a charge person in the absence of the Supervisor. Responsibilities Assembles and processes instruments sets, trays, supplies and linen; prioritizes trays and tasks according to the surgery schedule. Utilizes and troubleshoots steam sterilizers. Serves as the primary coordinator between surgical services and central supply sterile processing department in assigned clinical service area. Provides training and guidance to staff.
