POSITION DUTIES: Work independently and partner in an agile team environment to design, develop, code, test and debug new software or significant enhancements to existing software of moderate complexity and scope using knowledge of software development methodologies, standards, and coding best practices; Agile practices, including planning and grooming, sprint management, daily standup, and retrospective participation; Systems Security user access best practices; Development experience with C++, .NET; Oracle RDBMS, writing PL/SQL; Unix/Linux shell scripting; Sales Compensation systems: developing scalable high-performance systems to support high data volume processing. Develop information systems by analyzing operations; designing, developing and installing software solutions and supporting and developing the software team. Implement cutting edge development practices and creates management tools to understand and improve business needs. Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, clear code, and code comments. Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures. Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas and following software development lifecycle. Provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing development and service issues. Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards and programming. Support and develop software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities. Lead a team of developers to brainstorm and create new products. Travel required to undetermined locations up to 10% of work schedule. Position is eligible to telecommute 100% of work schedule.Experience to include at least 3 years of working knowledge of: Software development methodologies, standards, and coding best practices; Agile practices, including planning and grooming, sprint management, daily standup, and retrospective participation; Systems Security user access best practices; development experience with C++, .NET; Oracle RDBMS, writing PL/SQL; Unix/Linux shell scripting; Sales Compensation systems: developing scalable high-performance systems to support high data volume processing.Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or closely related field + 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Developer. In lieu of Bachelor?s + 5 years of experience, a Master of Science in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a closely related field and 3 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer or Developer is acceptable.
