A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LANDSCAPE FOREMAN As a Landscape Foreman, you skillfully lead your team and oversee our landscape construction projects from start to finish. Coordinating with project engineers, general contractors, the field crew, and office personnel, you ensure that all aspects of our projects go off without a hitch. You diligently manage the field operations for every assigned project, making sure that all parts of the job are completed accurately, promptly, and thoroughly. As your work progresses, you update and maintain essential documents as well as punctually submit required paperwork. You're always looking for ways to improve our processes or strengthen our team. You help develop and implement safety and educational programs for staff to learn from. While working in the field, you offer your team members guidance and advice to help them optimize their efficiency and productivity. You regularly inspect our equipment, facilities, and work vehicles to make sure everything is functional. If something needs repairing, you immediately bring it up with management. You're a team player who is happy and willing to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty when needed. You enjoy working alongside such a great team and take pride in the exceptional leadership you provide! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LANDSCAPE FOREMAN 3+ years of experience in a commercial landscape construction supervisor role Experience with managing large-scale commercial landscape projects, such as highway projects, wetland plantings, or large retail store jobs Irrigation installation and commercial snow plowing experience Ability to read blueprints and properly operate landscape construction equipment Basic computer proficiency and mathematical ability While not required, formal education in landscape construction would be preferred. It would also be a plus if you have a supervisory ground applicator license, an irrigation license, or a commercial driver's license (CDL)! Do you have amazing communication and interpersonal skills? Can you manage your time well and effectively delegate tasks? Are you a creative and adaptable problem solver? Can you think on your feet and quickly address issues as they arise?
