Breakthrough Schools is looking for exceptional teachers! Breakthrough Schools is the highest-rated network of free, public charter schools in Ohio. Breakthrough started in 2010 as a nonprofit collaboration between 3 of Cleveland's highest-performing public charter school organizations: Citizens Academy, E Prep and The Intergenerational School. Since then, Breakthrough has grown to 9 schools across Cleveland, in partnership with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. Position: Teachers hold foremost responsibility for the development and implementation of each school's curriculum and the success of its students. Skills and Characteristics: We are seeking both experienced and new individuals to the profession. To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential assigned duty accurately. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or expertise required. Passionate about urban education and our mission Highly qualified in content area and/or grade level Maintain a professional and no excuses attitude Receptive to feedback and desire to grow professionally Has the work ethic and desire to go above and beyond Highly organized Use data to drive instruction Education and/or Background Bachelor's degree Valid OH teaching certificate/license or must be in the process of obtaining a valid OH teaching certificate/license in subject area to be taught Compensation: Pay plans are considered competitive and commensurate with background. Breakthrough Charter Schools offer a complete benefits plan that includes medical, dental and vision. Employees also participate in the Ohio STRS or SERS (state retirement system).
