**Job Summary:**The 1st Shift Warehouse Operator is responsible for receiving shipments, shipping orders, repalletization, inventory control, and Master Sanitation Cleaning. This role requires knowledge and compliance with all Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and good manufacturing practices (GMPs). The Warehouse Operator directly reports to the Warehouse Shift Leader/Supervisor for proper direction, interpretation, and evaluation. They are also responsible for maintaining and guaranteeing Balchem's quality and safety standards. **Responsibilities:**- Operate a forklift following safety procedures and guidelines.- Stack 50 lb. bags up to 6 ft. high and slide 100 lb. bags on a pallet to feed conveying equipment while utilizing safe and proper lifting techniques.- Maintain inventory control in D365.- Read and understand lot numbers and scales.- Record and maintain accurate data on run sheets.- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner, including time cards.- Ensure documentation complies with SECS standards.- Complete assigned cleaning tasks to keep a neat, clean, and orderly work setting.- Complete the Master Sanitation Schedule as necessary.- Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.- Monitor product quality to meet Company standards and report any deviation from scheduling or service quality to the Supervisor.- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, including personnel, safety, and equipment maintenance and upkeep.- Become proficient in areas of production and safety policies and procedures.- Utilize common sense and skills in completing responsibilities and operating equipment conforming to Balchem production, personnel, and safety procedures.- Read and comprehend instructions, memos, and simple correspondence and write simple correspondence.- Pass any required examinations necessary to perform essential functions of the job.- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.- Communicate and handle conflict in a professional manner.- Give and welcome feedback and contribute to building a positive team spirit.- Perform other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:**- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).- Six to twelve months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education or experience.- Computer literacy is required, including experience in warehouse inventory management systems such as MRP/ERP.- Strong motivation, organization, time management, documentation, and communication skills (both orally and written).- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.- Strong work ethics, including punctuality, dependability, and trustworthiness.- Ability to utilize common sense and skills in completing responsibilities and operating equipment conforming to Balchem production, personnel, and safety procedures.- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and write simple correspondence.- Ability to pass any required examinations necessary to perform essential functions of the job.- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.- Ability to handle conflict in a professional manner.- Ability to give and welcome feedback and contribute to building a positive team spirit. **Working Conditions:**- Continual standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel, talking and hearing, and utilizing specific vision abilities.- Regularly climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling while using proper ergonomic principles.- Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and periodically lift up to and above 50 and 100 pounds using safe and proper lift techniques and equipment.- Rarely required to sit.- Operate equipment, including computers, drafting tools, scientific meters, and measuring devices.- Ability to distinguish colors.- Compliance with personal protective equipment policies and procedures.- Exposure to various working conditions such as wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, high noise levels, vibration, working in high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme cold. **Compensation Status:** Non-Exempt **Hours:** 7AM to 3PM **Benefits:**- Opportunity to work for a stable, ethical, and growing company.- Competitive wages and training.- Generous benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision coverage.- 401K with company match of 6%.- Profit Sharing.- Life Insurance.- Short/Long Term Disability.- Paid Vacation, Personal, Floating, 9 Holidays, and Sick Days.- Fitness Club Membership Reimbursement.- Education Reimbursement after 2 years of employment.- Free Cereal.
