Job Description: Diesel TechnicianDescriptionWe are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team Cleveland, OHIn this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own toolsEducation, Licenses, CertificationsApprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)Vocational diploma from relevant technical institutionLocally valid driving permit (Preferred)This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.ExperienceIn order to be successful in this role you will need the following skills:Advanced - Level III:Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic toolsLarger more complicated engine rebuildsMentor junior technicians including technical support and documentationThis position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. This position will be a part of the FTA poolThis position is part of the local 18 operating engineers’ unionThis position will require the ability to work second shiftA current valid license is required for this roleThis role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violationsThis role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical3 years driving experience.This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device useFederal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of ageThis position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.Compensation and BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience.
