The Municipal Property backssment Corporation (MPAC) is Ontario’s property expert. We create and maintain a comprehensive database of information for each of the more than five million properties in Ontario. We are responsible for delivering property values, insights and services to taxpayers, municipalities, governments and businesses. Job Description What makes you great for this role? You are an analytical problem solver who can provide overall program, project, or divisional support as required, aiding teams by providing deep technical expertise and leadership. We have: A team of highly skilled, dedicated and collaborative staff to work with Leadership that supports you An enterprise that embraces change A work environment that has flexible work locations (including remote), hours of work and overall employee wellness support You have: Completion of a college diploma or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field 10+ years of progressive development experience in a senior technical capacity A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a lead capacity demonstrating effective leadership skills to direct and coordinate a team of professionals in application development, IT operations or Security Certification, or working towards certification in Agile, AI/Data Science, Cloud, Dev Ops; Hands on experience with system configuration and Dev Ops tools (i. e. Jira, Bitbucket, Git and Confluence) Understanding of industry security practices and compliancy including ISO 27001/ISO 27002 and ISO 27017 Demonstrated experience with open-source operating systems, security tools and cloud environments through to production and maintenance What you will do: Provide technical leadership to project teams, taking responsibility and accountability for initiatives and decisions; balancing multiple project perspectives/overall department project needs and acting as a trainer/coach/guide/mentor on projects and expert.
